New Delhi: After winning the trust vote, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's stocks within his party have gone up. In a double delight, he won the trust vote and also scored over the opponents in his party.

But just a week ago, there was little space for Dr Singh for the image-makers of the Congress.

After all, the economist Prime Minister had failed to control inflation - the party's biggest heartburn - and for its campaign managers, the PM just didn't sell.

But Sonia and Rahul’s unflinching support for PM and his taking on the Left squarely on the nuke deal, things have changed.

“He is a strong PM, a good PM and he is naturally the face of the UPA,” says Digvijay Singh.

CNN-IBN has learnt that it’s almost certain now that Manmohan Singh will be projected as the Prime Ministerial candidate for the next Lok Sabha elections.

Not just that, publicity managers of Congress have been told to give equal credit to him and Sonia Gandhi for the Tuesday victory.

In fact, Sonia and Rahul will travel across the country and the entire credit of saving the Government will be given to the PM.
