New Delhi: Japanese car manufacturer Honda has unveiled an environment-friendly car that will be used at the G8 summit in Japan next week.
Honda's FCX Clarity is a sporty fuel-cell sedan. Fuel-cell vehicles are widely considered the ultimate longer-term alternative to today's conventional cars as they run on hydrogen.
The vehicle, which uses a lithium-ion battery, can run 620 km on a single fuelling and has a top speed of 160 km per hour.
While only two cars will be available for the leaders' summit, the automaker is targeting lease sales of about 200 FCX Clarity cars in the first three years in both Japan and the United States.
