New Delhi: The sleepy town of Manacor on the island of Mallorca was out on the streets to welcome back its most famous resident, Rafael Nadal.
Literally the whole town converged outside the town hall to give a rousing reception to its most famous son.
People of all ages thronged the streets to catch a glimpse of their favourite Rafa, who inspite of his cult status, still lives with his parents in downtown Manacor, instead of shifting to a bigger city as most stars do.
On Sunday, Nadal won the Wimbledon to add to his French Open crown this year, and in the process, it became the second najor international sporting title for Spain after they won the Euro 2008 title.
