New Delhi Shiv Sena on Sunday vandalised signboards of Mumbai’s landmark institution Bombay Scottish School as well as company Bombay Dyeing demanding their names be changed to read Mumbai and not Bombay.
Sena activists painted 'Mumbai Scottish' on the wall the School and knocked down Bombay Dyeing boards outside the company's showroom in Worli.
The attacks came after Shiv Sena's mouthpiece Saamna published an editorial rebuking some institutions for still using the old name.
Incidentally the son of Sena Exceutive Uddhav Thackeray is a former student of Bombay Scottish.
Many famous Bollywood actors like Abhishek Bachchan and Hrithik Roshan have also studied there.
