The good news for India's HIV vaccine programme is that an Anti Aids vaccine TBC - M4 has been successful in the first phase of the clinical trial in Chennai, but its efficacy will only be established if it passes Phase 3, in which 3000 volunteers : both low risk and high risk groups will be tested.
