Manivelu logeshwaran logeshwaran Well Sagarika, well said by you about the Letf's activities.
By this kind of activities Left proves that they doesn't know how to use the power. The theroy of Communism has to be taken by everyone into their mankind, that's it. There is no use of giving or sharing power to the Left. They are ready to sell india to China at free of cost also. They need only the image of communism, not the real one.
The words you highlighted with the quotes "communal"(BJP) "secular"UPA is very true. Now they shows, they are the real communals by saying that mulayam will lose muslim votes if he supports UPA for N-deal. It is very clear theat "communism" needs "communalism" to show their oppose.

Vishal Naidu Naidu The Left parties might want to consider changing their symbol to a condom. Here's why…
A condom allows inflation, blocks production, destroys the next generation and creates a sense of security when you are actually being screwed…..

sainathan While I agree with most of what Sagarika has written, I feel that there is a touch of eulogy of the leftists in the article which I feel difficult to fathom. The leftists of India do not deserve any sympathy and certainly not admiration. The biggest historical blunder of the left is not Jyothi Basu rejcting call to be PM, but its biggest blunder is the mismanagement of west bengal. If they had truly developed west bengal , they could today have rightfully claimed a right to rule India. Instead West Bengal lies in Shambles. Who says the leftists are incorruptible ? Does anybody know who or what is Jyothi Basu's son and how he became what he is today. Mr. Sitaram Yechury comes to TV and says he lives on a left salary of Rs. 6000 PM. Mr. Yechury - whom are you fooling. At Rs. 6000 PM in today's India you cannot afford a scooter, let alone ferrying around in a four wheeler. Please talk about how much you cost your party and also if you might talk about how your party gets to fund that expense.

If left had had its way the following would be the scenario in India today :

1. We would be holding tokens and waiting in queues in front of bank cashiers for our money.
2. India would be growing at 3% PA.
3. The income tax on the middle class would be 75 %.
4. There would be no Internet.
5. There would be no private company in the India.
6. Whoever amongst us could afford, will be driving Ambassador manufactured at Belur .

Please let us all consign the left to the dust bins of Indian politics.

Ramnath Shenoy Shenoy Irrespective of their “intellectual” credentials, it is a bit puzzling to see the left flirting with the possible danger of parliamentary polls given the rebellious atmosphere in West Bengal. But one has only to expend some thought to recall that the left has often been accused (atleast in the cold war years) of accepting money from foreign countries’ communist parties; prominently the erstwhile USSR and China. So it is not much of a leap to deduct that our treasonous communist puppets are having their strings pulled from across the borders. China is distinctly uncomfortable with India cozying up to the US and Russia is not too pleased either.

S N Roy Roy A very goog analysis sagarika. We have noticed that most of the left intellectuals carry lot of statistical data and during the debates they flaunt around those obsolete data. With the advent of technology and the world getting flattened those data are irrelevant in todays context but these comrades are living in their world and are not ready to face the reality.A very sad commentary indeed.

Anshad Mohammed Mohammed Sagarika, who mentioned some thing which are true regarding Left, I completely agree with you.
But when i read the blog i felt that you made up your mind to sabotage left by all way you can.
On what basis are you supporting the deal. Have you seen the aggrement with IAEA. Govt. is saying it cannot disclose the text, which is not true accoding to the top sources in IAEA, and it telecastedd in IBN itself.
After all my simple logic is a country like US which is SO So rich is so adament on the aggrement.
Why are they so pressurising India.
In your channel itself i watched a video regarding the business deals american are looking for.
Ofcourse globalisation is a reality, but a country like India cannot live in that. I read that more than 60% of people in India is having an average income of Rs 20 per day and we are still thinking of when Walmart is coming to India. I am right now in US. When i was in India i didn't understand the implications of Retail giants entry to India. But now, since I am here i very well know what is oing to happen.

After all are you not worried about the price rise in India. And on what priority is govt going behind the deal.
Given the fact that more than 80% of people going for some measures from govt to stop inflation and price rise, our honourable Prime Minister is going behind a deal, after all fogetting the fact that People of India give him the verdict to rule India and not Ms Bush.

Tenny Thomas Thomas Brilliant Sagarika,
Let me add to what you said. Actually Left is confused about their path in the centre. In states like Kerala and West Bengal for instance, Buddhadev is insisting on reforms and Achutanandan is stifling them. The contrast is kind of funny but anyways the Left will have a long time pondering over their future after the no-confidence motion.
