raktim banerjee banerjee It is great to see a nonsense article written by a person who has sold her Conscience to america and their agent upa , is applauded by such large no of great idiots.

They dont really have any clear idea about their country.
thier so-called patriotism is based on the wrong imperialist propagandas, and at most borrowed from commercial films like "chak de india" or "rang de basanti" or"loc".
They had never been in any village to see what exactly the scenario of our country.

you all are confined by your one sided views which must have been gifted by the imperialist propagandists.

People here have very little knowledge about communism, marx lenin, mao.
They never have tried to study this all time great social science and leaders who has done a lot to make this planet a really beatyful place for all not for a handful of opportunists, preveleged classes and that is thier only fault that has made them devil in the eyes of all previous power-suckers ,oppressors, tyrants and thier blind followers.

These people claps when in RDB a "progressive" lad quotes Bhagat Singh "beheron ke liye dhamake ka jarurat hota hey"
But intensionally is Aloof about his ideology.
The indian state machinery always try to suppress the truth that Bhagat Singh was a communist revolutionary and all he wanted was to establish a soviet type socialist republic of India by violent revolution.
These people always take the names of Bhagat Singh ,they wear che Guevara t-shirts but never tried to study what they preached.
I suggest u people go atleast read thier written documents which are readily available and then try to understand what exactly is called people's interest.

Deepu Mathew Mathew Madam Sagarika Ghose i read your blog and I am sure that any of the congress leaders didnt make any such attacks on Left as you did . You also wrote that within days there will be no TV reporters in AKG Bhavan. Without reporters did you think that anything wil happen to AKG Bhavan. To be in news headlines all time one need not work for whole life as a party member.Everybody knows that Paris Hilton is in news headlines more than any worldleader. Also in some blogs i read that Lefts are still beleiving in an idiology that do not have much takers in the world. All the parties in India are based on certain idiologies. Please tell me the names of the parties in India whose idiology is accepted anywhere in the world. Is the idiology of BJP or congress is better than that of lefts? One party is for constructing a temple in Ayodhya or blocking Ramsethu project while the other was found for gaining Independence for India. Are you trying to proove that these parties are better than Left. I understand the fact that media people also have parties they like and those they dislike. But then please dont act like the only independent journalist on Planet Earth.

bharath s s I agree with your comments on the left to soem extent. Having said that , i dont think this tragic situation for the left has arisen not because of their mistakes alone. A major part of blame should be taken by the congress. Having very well known the nature of the LEFT they should have gone all the way to woo them . instead they changed track and went on look out for opportunist and petty parties like SP. I fail to understand what exactly is happening. Parties which had come to power by projecting themselves as anti-congress are now hands in glove with congress. This i would say is complete decieving and ditching of the electorate. in this scenario the left has stood its stand. before u say that they are still caught up in good old times, u need to give weight to the fact that they have 60 elected members in parliament who had fought election the stand that they have taken. The people who elected them are for sure happy with what the left has done. these people stand by the views of left.

s eshwar Sagarika, I have never been a supporter of Left, but in this entire Nuclear Saga, I feel, the congress is the real villian. When the BJP ran a coalition gov at centre, they had kept the RAM MANDIR issue, in the cold storage as that was not in the Common Minimum Program. This despite the fact that many of the people, especially BJP's vote bank wanted the temple to be built.Look at what congress has done, the issue of NUCLEAR DEAL, lets us not go into the merits, was not there in the Common Minimum Program. But Congress and especially the PM kept on persuing as if to humiliate the Left. The deal could have been persued even with the next US government as the congress leaders are explaining, that the deal is between US and India and not Bush and PM. Then why the hurry in going through it. The sadistic pleasure that the spokesmen of congress are drawing can be easily be noticed by the masses. It seems congress is not setting example of COALITION DHARMA, and that is one of the reasons we see them loosing state after state.

manipadma datta Sagorika's article is really aa well read.I just add some more points. First, how much red is really left with the Left? Indian mainstream left is just a biological phenomenon which is a wonder in itself. Historically our Left is only known for their power of grumbling when left out! Second, the Indian Left have never been able to understand the popular psyche. They always try to command with the self-pampered arrogance they ONLY know it better. They have systematically championed the art of ignoring popular mandate. If you want to work for the people, you must show the respect of listening to them honestly. But dont worry, they do possess the courage to call their own decision a 'historical blunder' tommorrow! They tend to create history only through blundes!BLUNDEROUS! And, finally it appears that they havent really studied Marx as they would strongly claim! Because, the merit and brilliance Marxism has shown in history for which even in the US it commands a great respect as a discipline simply seems divorced from the generic behavior of this parliamentary Left as evident so far!

Balaji Rajaraman Rajaraman This is a classic example of how we should not write a blog. However, I agree to certain facts. The writer is pre-judgemental in calling BJP-led NDA as communal and Congress- led UPA as secular. Secondly, I am not against nuclear deal. In fact, I strongly support nuclear deal but how could you sign a deal without knowing the full text. Will the author sign a deal without reading the complete text of the document? It should have been the government responsibility to explain the nuclear deal to the public. The IEAE text is not confidential but only restrictive so what stopped the govt in making the document public. Therefore, I would request the author not to be pre judgemental and write the facts.

Manivelu logeshwaran logeshwaran Well Sagarika, well said by you about the Letf's activities.
By this kind of activities Left proves that they doesn't know how to use the power. The theroy of Communism has to be taken by everyone into their mankind, that's it. There is no use of giving or sharing power to the Left. They are ready to sell india to China at free of cost also. They need only the image of communism, not the real one.
The words you highlighted with the quotes "communal"(BJP) "secular"UPA is very true. Now they shows, they are the real communals by saying that mulayam will lose muslim votes if he supports UPA for N-deal. It is very clear theat "communism" needs "communalism" to show their oppose.

sachin0810 The fact is that left has been living with ideologies which are completely outdated and have no takers. And worst of all..they don't want to change. And then they want to apply this to all around them..Definitely my country will not buy this peice of rubbish. The very fact that they do not a single young comrade in their brigade manisfests the disbelief in their locus standii, beleifs, thought process and above all their leadership which is thoughtless and just knows to crib like a child with no substance. In the process they make mockery of themselves. Try to be authoritative but without responsible...Wow...and they think they can survive with this! Not to say that all the other political parties are saints..they aren't either. But, national interests are always prime and they should stay that way. Anyone trying to sabotage should be shown a door..as it happenned here. But, this should have happenned atleast 1 year back. I am surprised that the parties and individuals are all having opinion on the deal when actually no one knows what's in it!..It was made public only today. So, very easy conclusion you can draw from this is that they wanted to be pampered for no reason ...and have been rightly given a kick where they deserved. Lets move forward India...Youth of this country has proved themselves and they know what they are doing..And they are more sensitive and proud to be an Indian then perhaps these so called politicians who are nothing but participants in a reality show ....worried only about their TRPs..! :-)
