suresh pillai pillai Dear Sagarika,You have so succintly brought forth the time wrap they are in on there approach to meet the policy needs of the country. When Krushev came to power he sent KGB agents to find out how supply of Bread was available in plenty in the west, believing in rumors that they were surreptitiously controlled by CIA.He could not understand how a free economy functions. These are comical things which blinds them to real economics because of idealogysteeped in the last century.

Ramesh Kumar Kumar Congrats. Ted Turner must be proud of you. You are writing as well as or even better than most of the western journalists of the Cold War era. Keep it up. We should promote Amar Singhs and Laloo Yadavs instead of Prakash Karats and Bardhans. Our children should choose the right path.

Anand Joshi Joshi Perhaps the Leftists deserve some more "BOUQUETS" like this. "BOUQUETS" of "RED ROSES" :-) would be ideal. Lets do some "GANDHIGIRI" yaar.

Sujith Thomas Thomas The CPI and CPI (M) always tries to live in the past. It is these parties who earlier in the 1980's and 1990's oppossed the introduction of computer stating that that it will make the people jobless and now the reality is before the Indian communnity. The activities of these two parties makes me suspicious abt their hidden agenda . I strongly believe that had this deal inked between India and China, then there would n't hve been any protest from these two parties. As an Indian Citizen , I wish That India should be an energy sufficent country and people of India should be relived from Power cuts and Load sheddings

mohd ahmed ahmed if the left succeed in bringing down the upa govt. then who will gain out of the suituation its ultimately the opposition which would be benifited by this step.indeed they should have raised other issues like inflation rather than using indo us nuc deal.it appears that they are againt this deal because of there ideology, but why to use the communal card by saying muslims are against this deal.muslims will play a constructive role in the country,s development.this is after all a contract and india is that much compitant that it can pursue its own forein policy with out any influence, on the political front the withdrawl of support and the formation of so called third front unpa will prove benifecial to the nda only dividing the secular vote, can the unpa get the maximum seats and form the govt at centre. the answer is no,becuase in the current suituation either the govt led by congress or the bjp can be formed,no other alternative allaince can surve this purpse.left may enter into allaince with the unpa parties but these parties had an allaince with nda in past and may once again do so.left has fought general election and assembly election in adhra pradesh in allaince with the congress and now they are moving close towards the tdp once the partner of bjp at the centre, does this gives the sense and uniformity towards there policies.left had nearly 60 mp,s in the present lokh sabha and has played vital role but can they get the same number in next lokh sabha election.its upto the people to decide but with aiadmk distancing it self from unpa and samajwadi party out of it, unpa may hardly reach three digit figure in the next general election.unpa claim themselves as secular but any party of unpa may shift to nda any time as they has done this in past tdp was in third front but has supported nda at centre.as far as the deal is concerned it should be remembered that there are other issues like inflation, which requires immediate notice which is not given by any party now

anupam ray ray The Confused Party of india, CPI and CPI(mad) did justice to their name again by withdrawing support. They want to participate in the Govt, but not ready to take accountability of its decisions and its sad that the tax payers and the citizens hopelessly blog and bang their heads in billions. The funniest part was when karat remarked the deal is against the wish of the common indians, double standards of left has become legendary by now.

sarath ramakris I am a keralite and the sad thing is that they dnt represent us! What we want is some omprovement in our Kerala's status, but it is sad to see that they dont even take care of Kerala as much they take care of WB. They just want this state for trying out their various folly ideas. The reason is due to the divided Congress here having no true leader as such. LEFT has got a stand in Kerala only because VS Achuthanadan is there. We respect him as a chief minister. But Dear Sir, if you read this, your party is ruining our state!

Solomon Kamal Kamal This is the best ever writeup I've ever seen in my life.Excellent analysis.I want to see the day when the Left parties have no role to paly at any level of Indian politics. Both the philosophy and people of Left dont know what is commotment and are completely selfish.

Divyanshu Raghav Raghav It feels so good to read this. I love the Left bashing. Its unfortunate that such a small minority (WB/Kerela) can get to represent the nation and hold it to ransom.
