A letter to the Left
Lal Salaam Comrades!
Your tenure in government seems to have ended. How different things were four years ago! Four years ago you were faced with a unique opportunity. The "communal" BJP-led NDA had... Read The Article
I think you've been far too civil with the traitors than they deserve. They stand for everything that's anti-Indian and anti-development. With just 2 dwindling pockets of influence in the country, they have held the country to ransom, stalling every major policy decision. I'm no Congress admirer. I've always been extremely pro-BJP and anti-Congress. But because of the annoyment caused by the traitors, even I have started seeing the little good that the Congress actually meant. Now, the traitors can go back to kissing China's ass.
No prizes for guessing who the traitors are!

Hi Sagarika,
Currently our TV MEDIA is hell bent upon implying that AMAR SINGH and SONIAJI's parties are the only PATRIOTIC PARTY.
You people are horribly wrong.
INDIA IS A GREAT COUNTRY, YOU HAVE TO LEAVE THAT PLACE TO KNOW IT.
PITY, our great nation had to wait for more than forty years to have a non congress party rule. We all must thank GOD, and see to it that it matures constructively.
Please donot kill them (OPPOSITION) by labeling them UNPATRIOTIC. Instead let us correct and build them.
DEMOCRACY CANNOT SURVIVE WITHOUT A VERY GOOD OPPOSITION.
As far as your Blog is concerned, nothing new, except that it is timely. LEFT people are slave of their own outdated ideology. They are yet to mature as real politicians, they still remain FACTORY UNION LEADERS. Please tell them to grow up. They are learning the bad art of goondaism.(Singur and Slaying in KERALA). Through your medium please show them the great opportunity they have.
INDIAN WORKING MIDDLE CLASS.
Majority of these MIDDLE CLASS will not tow the CASTIST/PSEUDO SECULARISM or Religious line.
These are progressive class looking for excellence. Please see how these people are struggling in their jobs, in their education but excelling against all odds. RESERVATION KING - ARJUN SINGH.
Please do not put effort to sell another GANDHI RAHUL through your medium, India's poor and illiterate will make sure that he becomes a PM.
Instead put in effort to build the opposition, INDIA require real good opposition.
You will be doing a very good service to this great nation, or else you are also no less than LEFTIST who can find fault but no cure. Thanks - Santosh Chacko

Brilliantly written, Madam! I belong to west bengal and have seen the decades of decline. it is sad that the party which has some of the most brilliant minds can choose to behave like this. also startling is the fact that the party has two distinct voices; one of karat & yechury in delhi and the other of buddhadeb babu in bengal. they are diametrically opposite and one wonders what the party actually stands for. however i do not blame the left for their recent fiasco; it is the congress which needs to do some soul searching. after the last general elections, bjp phobia was so high that congress chose strange bed partners. i would call it opportunism and not pragmatism. let us acknowledge that bjp was the first national party which showed the country that there is an alternative to the nehru family. they had the guts to take major policy decisions. of course some of those had their roots to the earlier narasimha rao government but then bjp gave it shape. the comuunists need to understand that the gap between the rich and poor can be bridged by lifting the poor and not bringing down the rich. that is how they destroyed west bengal and it is absolutely unclear why the congress did not understand this four years back. hence you lal salaam to the communists should actually be a learnig point for all progressive parties in india who should think carefully before forging alliance with left parties. thay do not understand governance and hence should limit their roles to publishing articles in peoples democracy.

Amazing article. The best I have ever read about the double standards of the Communists in India. They have lost their relevance but still want to hold the country to ransom. They need to be neutered just like a sick canine.Karat and his cronies have lost touch with reality.I think the Congress should have called their bluff at least 6 months back. I am sure the Indian electorate will teach them a lesson during the next election. No wonder Somnath wants to stay away from these shenanigans of his comrades. The Congress should not buckle now.

A very good article which sadly will not affect the Left who want the cake and eat it too. That is the problem with the pseudo communists of Karats and Yechury variety along with the rest. They are not for the masses but belong to what I call as Social Circle Social workers. This brand is the one which gets good education, has lots of money or makes money, give lectures on righteousness and in the end cannot take any responsibility but demand accountability from one and all except from themselves and their rank and file.
They are strange bed fellows - to them what matters is the mattress but not the bed or the company. Today it is Mayawati and who knows tomorrow it may even the BJP. They are such spin specialists that they would put even Shane Warne to shame in a cricket field.
Russia and China support Indo -US Nuclear deal. So do anyone with interest for our the nation. All said, this is the best that we could have got to circumvent the NPT and yet get what we need. Splitting hair is not what we require to do. With the attitude of the Left, our country will never be counted in the committee of nations.
Ms Sagarika Ghosh's article made my Sunday evening!

Every thing is fine. i am watching the news of this nuclear deal since it is coming in news. every channel is giving its own perspective. but i want to know one thing from these channels is that everybody is saying that left has with drawn suppert congress wants to go ahead with the deal. i want to know the role of the media here. the public who is watching frankly dont know the exact benefitsor problems that will be there if we sign the N DEAL. you as a meduia should go that extra step to really inform the common man the exact things that might happen whther they are beneficial or not as the left parties say. why cant you tell this thing. are you afraid of the consequences. you get a lot of details from your sources na. so let the people be informed iof the real thing so that they know why this is happening now instead just getting interviews and humiliating the politicians let the people know the fact. IS THE N DEAL GOOD OR BAD

Excellent, we need to understand the national interest. Mr. Manmohan singh sohowed in the past 20 years to the nation , how he is committed to India growth. There was huge hurdles, when he introduced 1991 world market. Now we know the results of this and all Indians are benifited with his decision.
These Mayawathi, CPM leaders are hurdle to India growth. We should eliminate them in India Parliament.
